When the sky is clear, sunset often brings a special light show commonly referred to as 'alpenglow' (Wikipedia).
The best place to view it, if conditions are right, is on the 'Amphitheater'
(the geologic feature overlooking Ouray from the southeast edge of town which the NFS 'Amphitheater' campground is named for).

When I first noticed the sun setting, I went to the FJ to get my camera, and this is the first one I snapped;
alpenglow not really happening yet, but getting close.
Here's a shot I took when I got back to our table at the Event...
At that point, I thought, hey, I bet it would be cool to get a shot of the alpenglow from that little overlook
just above headquarters where we parked to go for a couple hikes...
so, I headed up that direction...
Thi sis how it looked when I first got up there...
a few minutes later...
after that, just the Amphitheater...
then a look down at the festivities...
How many FJ Cruisers do you see, and can you pick out yours, or any others that you know?
