From the summit of Imogene Pass, we can see far and wide.
In this photo, the yellow arrow points to what could be seen in the next photo below.
The red arrow points to this place; a little, grassy knoll overlooking the town of Ouray, almost 9 miles away.




 

In case you missed it, this is what is visible at the yellow arrow in the photo above.
Looks like a few vehicles of various types getting out of the way of some FJ Cruisers on their way up.




 

Of course, we have to line up at the summit...

 

At this point on the trailrun, JammerGirl usually goes for a walk.
She's actually visible in this photo somewhere on the trail...

Note the snowboard tracks for an idea of what else you could do here if you came equipped...

On the way down Imogene, there are a few places where you can look over to the east and see the switchbacks of Black Bear.




 

Every once in a while, there's a waterfall-trickle-stream to cross...




 

Somewhere right along in here, we stopped to help a motorcyclist that ran out of gas.
Since my external container was full of old gas, and he said he didn't mind, we filled his tank.
Someone got a photo at this spot, and when I find it again, I will add it here...

This is the scenery just south of Ouray as we were coming back from Ophir Pass.
It's a place we've talked about hiking up to, on west side of the Million Dollar Highway (550),
near Ironton Park.


 

We really enjoyed hanging out with such a great group of people all day long.
Sometimes, it's hard to move on to the next thing...
