Sandi, the Fossil Journey Cruiser:
a Boulder Sandstorm at Every Fork in the Road

Bunce School Rd. & the T33-A Plane Crash Trail with two other Sandstorms (20100919)

Now, this page will most likely be the most boring to the biggest amount of people.
It's mostly just a bunch of photos of different pieces and parts at the crash site.

However, one of the reasons I included them here is because of the fact that my Dad was in the US Air Force,
and I thought he might be interested in browsing through these and see how much he can recognize.
I'm not even sure if this particular plane was one of the models he worked on,
but this piece right here is the most likely thing he'd know what to do with (electronics).

We surmized it may have been a radio or something along those lines.

Here's a little peek inside where the shell is pealed back a bit...

This other nearby item was conveniently labeled.

Then, just bunches and bunches or other pieces...

I assume these holes were made from someone shooting at this piece sometime (maybe years) after the crash.

The field of debris is pretty wide; probably at least 200 meters by 50 meters as far as we could see
(the engine at the bottom of the slope marking the furthest point; being about 200 meters from the trail).

This is what is left of the cockpit; including two seat spots and what was probably an instrument panel (far end).

Two flags mark the area, as a memorial for the two airmen that died in this crash.

Moon in the sky above the crash site...

Here's a little video of the debris scattered around

Of course, everyone's waiting for me to be done taking photos.  :P

Next, some distant scenery on the
  NEXT PAGE.
