Sandi, the Fossil Journey Cruiser:
a Boulder Sandstorm at Every Fork in the Road

Bill Moore Lake with FJinCO (and a couple guys in a Jeep) (20100619)

After getting through the last obstacle, I hung out for a minute to watch the Jeep come through in case he needed any help.
By that time, FJinCO had gone ahead to the lake. When I came around the corner, this is what I saw...

He had mentioned earlier that, once you get to the lake, there's a rock you can pose on, etc,
but I had no idea it was like this. Defintiely worth a few shots.

After a little bit, he decided to pull it up a little further onto the rock.

Now, that's what I'm talkin about.

I just had to get one like this...

....and of course, there's this angle...

I know it's not much, but I decided to throw in one of Sandi like this too.
It's not the big rock, but she didn't want to be completely left out.

Here are the two guys that were in the Jeep. Owner on left. Brother-in-law on right.
It was cool hanging out with them for the last stretch of the trip to the lake.
They even came with when we hit Tommyknocker's after the run. Good times.

Here she is; the shoveling hero of the day.
We all pitched in, but clearly, she did more than any of us, and we were very grateful.   :)

I know....too many photos.....so what?

Yep, I made it to the lake. :) What a beautiful day for the journey too.

Now that we finally made it to the lake, we took a quick look up, noticed the clouds rolling in and the sky starting to fall,
and decided it was time to head back down.
Here's the link to the rest of the trip back down that day.
