P H O T O G R A P H Y at Every Fork in the Road |
. |
These photos are from a day we spent back-roading in Ouray, Colorado.
We drove up some road in the Amphitheater area (within a couple miles of
downtown as the crow flies).
This was on our last day in town on this trip, and we hit this trail just before
heading back to the Front Range.
In this view to the East at the end of the trail,
you can see the morning sun shining on the tops of the spires of the
Amphitheater.
NOTE: the original inspiration for putting this page together was
seeing
this photo on
Dragon's FJ build page on FJ Cruiser Forums.
It's possible that the tracks only went this far, and was just used to transport
material from here,
but at the end of the road, this little set of rail-road tracks seems to
disappear into the mountain.
The view to the West...
Most of these photos were taken on our way back down to town...
Here we are back down on the main road...
Yes, that's our Blazer. Remember, this was back in 2005 before we finally got
rid of that piece of crap.
Over-looking downtown...
Looking back up at the Amphitheater...
